Flu shots are in! Should you get one? Almost always, the answer is yes. I will be discussing them as you come in for regular appointments. If you just want to pop over and get it taken care of, we are planning on having drop-in times Monday and Friday afternoons, as Doris will be available without an appointment.
Every year, tens of thousands of people are hospitalized with influenza and its complications, and thousands die from it. While the flu shot is not a guarantee that you will not get the flu, it greatly lowers your risk. Below are some additional specifics of getting vaccinated:
Who: Essentially everyone. There are some people who should not be vaccinated (for medical reasons) and others who choose not to— however, I would recommend it.
When: Soon. Influenza season is around the corner, and the shot needs a few weeks to begin to be effective.
Where: In the office.
Additional Information: The cost of the shot will be $20.
